Good grief. Xenforo's AF style was intentional, as a joke. Not as a permanent styling look.
It's clear you're just wasting our time, those who've tried to help you.
Okay. I'll change the skin to the default Xenforo skin

^^^ Agreed. Let's see what you've got!
And, I'm going to reiterate the advice to make the forum OPEN to the public. Especially a new forum that you want to GROW.
Some really good and experienced folks have been volunteering sound advice about what to do NOW. Nobody's focused on your reasoning for starting your site. Nobody cares about your history with the other site. You're the only one who gives a rat's ass about that.
Move forward. Let the past go.
This still allows you to see and use your custom one, and still work on it.Okay. I'll change the skin to the default Xenforo skin
This does not stop you from having some nodes publicly readable.I've aksed many members of the forum, they want it to be kept private, they don't want it to be open to the public.

You aren't going to get much appeal with nothing for visitors to read.
Main attraction of the site, to Google and other search engines, is topical relevant content. It's also the main attraction to human visitors.main attraction of the site.
Nope. They are also signal signs collectors.Xenforo's AF style was intentional, as a joke.
Not trying to be mean or insulting or anything like that, but I'm curious. Are you on the Autism scale? I have lots of experience interacting with autistic people on forums, and I'm catching that vibe from you. Knowing this would help us interact with you better. Asperger's perhaps? If so let us know. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
Ok, that's good to know. Verifies your not being obtuse or intentionally evasive or dismissive. Clears the air.Yes, Aspergers.
We're just goofing around a little bit, but everyone is friendly and trying to help.Yes, Aspergers.
There's nothing wrong with green, as the site you linked earlier demonstrates. It's that SIGNAL FLARE shade of green that's eye offensive. Maybe the safety vests aren't the best example to use in your color palette.Okay. I'll get rid of the excessive green in the forum.

You have in traffic signaling, very basic colors - red yellow and green. You can take ques from that. But your goal in design is not to offend. Not to detract from the content. You don't want your style competing with your content.
It happens a lot. I've seen it a lot. That was why I got banned from my rival forum. I was unknowingly being very dismissive to people's advice. The admin was unaware of my mental condition.

So what problem you'd like to solve? "My forum is unsuccessful" or "I got banned"?Wise man say "when you clear describe your problem, your question will include the answer".

Personally I would talk to a great design guy like @Russ and let him guide you. He's known to be quite helpful and patient and understanding. Makes great skins and has a great eye for color and use of same
