[XB] Post As User

[XB] Post As User [Paid] 2.1.3

No permission to buy ($30.00)
I hope the following illustrates what I want. I believe it's also what other people expected from being able to create anonymous posting..

You may actually make it as a separate add-on dedicated for creating anonymous postings.

Thank you @Painbaker for the quick update. Is this true that you can 'ghost' an admin? That will cause issues if true. Also, does the members real profile show when you mouseover the name? We would need to know which member actually posted somehow.

I'm a bit disappointed about what this add-on can do..

When 'Post as user' is enabled in a usergroup/forum, a user can post as ANY registered user in the forum, even Admin! So this add-on is supposed to be used by Admin only?

For 'Post as non-existing user', I must have the 'Post as user' option enable... That defeats the purpose of setting up a forum that allows users to post anonymously.

This add-on is only suitable to be used by Admins..

That's exactly how it works though, if you open the Registered user permissions, you can sect "Post as User" to "no" as a default permission, and to "yes" for the admins group.

Edit: Oh I misunderstood what you were reporting. I think you misunderstood the intention of this addon. It definitely isn't for all users to post anonymously.

This is probably the addon you're looking for: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/tl-anonymous-posting.6937/

@gogo, sorry, but the plugin concept is completely different from what you want. As mentioned above and in the description, this add-on proposes publication as another user, not for identifiable anonymous posting.

@maxpower, no, at the moment there is no functionality to identify original poster. In future updates I may add storing original poster data and usable user blacklist option.

@Painbaker Got it. Will you consider make an add-on for that then?

@Dragonfruit Yes I'm aware of that add-on and actually installed it but it doesn't really do what I exactly expected. The developer seems to fail to understand my requirements.

Thanks for adding the block/allow feature. I went to buy your add-on but your link is flagged as 'dangerous webpage'. Do you have another link to buy?

Try logging into the site using the email account you bought with, you should be able to see your purchase history and the latest updates.

Nothing here.

In fact I got this after I bought the add-on so I asked where I could get it. The OP said I'd receive an email whenever there's a new update.
