Content Blur Pro - Boost Registrations and Upgrades

Content Blur Pro - Boost Registrations and Upgrades [Paid] v2.2.11

No permission to buy ($40.00)
How is this add-on affecting signups for admins?

Also - an idea to make this add-on even more interesting than it already is - would be to add an option that causes adblock users to see the blurred discussions - whether logged in or not.

Since people can bypass blurred content by viewing source code in browser dev mode, is there a way for users to bypass the blurr with a simple css edit on the browser?

To adjust for this, it's probably best to have an option to show only first like 2 or so replies in a thread and not render the rest with php (for those who don't mind of SEO as some will be using this to make the thread completely private access).

Addon seems to work well, but is there any way to also blur embedded media such as Twitter posts and videos?

There's settings to overcome this, including obfuscating the content should anyone try to "view source".

Similar to above, there are settings, as well as being moot when obfuscated. There's also SEO friendly settings that are enabled by default.

Hey, responded to you by email, but will repeat here. I'll look into it. I'm not sure how these are embedded. I do know it does blur embedded photos. Twitter, I'm not sure if that's being remotely delivered. Please send me a link for an example.

I sent you a reply to your email @Wutime with an example post. I think everything uses:
Code:
[MEDIA=youtube]   [/MEDIA]
[MEDIA=twitter]   [/MEDIA]
So if you could maybe add a check mark option to block all MEDIA as an option, this would be a nice addition to the add-on.

@Wutime The demo website have installed the latest version of this addon?

In the features I see "But it's actually illegible and unreadable when viewing source or inspecting", but I don't see it working on the demo web, since I can see the content from the inspector and source.

Oh good point. Thanks for letting me know. Clearly I haven't turned it on. I'll do that shortly.

@Wutime With embedded threads from the same forum it does not work correctly if the original thread has a prefix, it is displayed.

Could this be fixed? Thx

Have you had a chance to look into blurring the media @Wutime ?
It's actually proving to be rather difficult because embedded media such as x.com is pulled into an iframe that loads it's own document. It's also against the display TOS for the third-party, though I doubt anyone would chase anyone down over this. I'll keep trying, but so far it's difficult.

It's in the recent update. I didn't endlessly test every possible media type, but I think it's written broadly enough to work well.

I did test YouTube, Twitter/X, and a few others.
