I've installed and was using Option 3 (I'm old school. I have uploaded the files myself. Here's an XML file) from the Add-on Install & Upgrade 1.1.0. (by the way, I'm on XF 1.3.3).
Specifically:
- I FTP'd all of the files and directories inside `upload` to XenForo's root directory.
- I then copied addon-ForumWatch.xml to my desktop and used Add-on Install & Upgrade to select and install the XML file.
- I then was redirected to a page with the errors that I posted earlier.

Please try using XenForo built-in install tool.

Well, whattya know. So, I decided to give it another go. I FTP'd everything up to the server again, making sure I re-copied any files that reported upload errors. Put the XML file on my desktop, and voila, it installed fine. Not sure what wat happening before, but looks like we have success.

By the way, once I have Add-on Install & Upgrade 1.1.0 installed, how would I access the XF built-in install tool? Or, would I have to uninstall Add-on Install & Upgrade 1.1.0.?

Testing shows the add-on works as usual with XenForo 1.4.0 Beta 1.

Example Use Case that I'd like the add-on to be able to address.
Step 1. GroupX watches ForumX: receives emails for new threads
Step 2: GroupX watches ForumX: receives alerts for new messages
Currently, I receive an error message on Step2 that GroupX is already watching ForumX

It does if your site is big enough and user uses thread watch/forum watch a lot.

Installed on 1.4.2 and not getting any emails when I set a watch forum. Any ideas?
Tested on 1.4.1 and same issue.

I'm now running 1.4.2 and also recently upgraded Forum Watch to 2.1.1b. Now getting following server errors (can provide details via PM):

Deactivating "Forum Watch" stops the errors for me. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I have installed this an it doesn't seem to work reliably, but the group on which I am applying it is a secondary group. Does it only work on primary groups perhaps?
I would be most grateful for your view on this
