This add-on doesn't touch anything to do with the alerts system.

Please don't go around telling people false information. If, however, you'd like to take the time to go through some things, maybe we can get to the bottom of it.

Another quirk, whatever you're using for the keyword link generation seems to be appending "https://" in front of URLs by default instead of "http://". See this post for an example:

my text reference to "mlb.tv" is automatically hyperlinked to https://mlb.tv, which is not a valid URL.

How did you fix this @BamaStangGuy ? I can confirm I have this problem also :/

No idea. It wasn't a bug in my add-on as far as I know.

Yes that link will just redirect, and your addon cannot grab it's title.
But instead of http, for us using https it will be change to https link.
