Announcing Forum Runner - XenForo iPhone/iPad/Android App!

Can you try installing 1.0.4 which I just released and let me know if that fixes the thumbnail issue?

Installed 1.0.4 and the thumbnails are back, nice one Clemson :)

I tried the "current" button, it isn't showing new threads, it just says "No matches found"
I can see new stuff in the "whats new" on a web browser, using the same user id, so there might be a problem there.
I have tried 10 days back in the settings and also "new posts since last visit", all showing "no matches found"

Very weird. Which forum is yours so I can take a look?
 
Version 1.0.4 of the Add-on has been released:

* Add support for Google Analytics tracking of pageviews in the app. See our support forums for information on how to set this up.

All these updates will require a client upgrade which is in review by Apple. I'll post up when its live.
 
Quick release to fix the Current "No posts found" issue with XenForo 1.0.0 release. Thanks gib for helping out with this !

Installed 1.0.5 on my XF 1.0.0 forum yesterday. I sent a few members link to the free version to test it out. I don't have iphone/android to test it out myself but here are some early feedback.

From iPhone user
On the upper left of each main screen (forums, current, conversations) is an exit button. When you click into a thread this turns into a 'back' button. Not the best of designs. A bumpy bus ride = multiple unintended exits.

I think what Ibaker means is that if they use it they need to keep paying for it each year and that becomes a problem at the cost if not to many members keep using it. The renewal fee is a little high for each year.

I love the software BTW and my members use it
 
would love to see forum runner and tapatalk release a version that works with SSL, then I could say my site is more secure
 
Building SSL in is rough in the app stores since you have export restrictions on the binaries then, and might run into issues with selling the app in countries that have very stringent restrictions on cryptography.
 
The private key is on the server end, wouldn't the client app just use the public CA certs already on the iPhone or android device for the initial SSL handshake ?
My site works fine using https from safari on iPad and iPhone.

if it was self signed certs, then that would be an issue as the root CA wouldn't be on the device.

Wouldn't it just be a case of specifying https://blah.com/forum As the main forum URL ?

happy to give it a try on my secured site if ya's need a guinea pig.

more and more folks are using phones on the move and their usernames/passwords are flying around in clear text on open wifi's.
it would be very useful to close off http, to keep any data from being visible on open networks.
