In-house developed at VS.They have an interesting comment system, something between Reddit and classic forums. Is this some kind of add-on?
That's true. For an active forum it is a great thing it would be nice and useful for many if it was integrated into XF
Fora's threaded threads (nested replies).
From what I’ve seen it very old style graphics. You only gotta look at proboards.com that they are currently trying to make work.
It's all gone to outdated stuff.
Yep with nested comments that make the page we view look bad. From what I’ve seen it very old style graphics.
Dude, calm down, the page looks good, and there are a lot of people interested in such an addon. Since 2013 there are a lot of suggestions about nested comments because it's convenient. If you don't like it, don't use it.Yep with nested comments that make the page we view look bad.
I think they may have been referring to proboards.com at least I was.Dude, calm down, the page looks good, and there are a lot of people interested in such an addon. Since 2013 there are a lot of suggestions about nested comments because it's convenient. If you don't like it, don't use it.
Yeah but it's not your forum. To be fair, proboards is free to use, no?
I'm impressed that it's taken this long for the community to sponsor a threaded view, given how long and how much it's been requested. Awesome to see this approach - I wouldn't call it a new approach (more like bringing back a very old one!), but I would call it refreshing and certainly different for a typical XF forum.threaded threads ... see a new approach (Reddit like) here.
I'm currently getting a quote to have a Reddit style node type developed. If you'd like to throw in a suggestion on how it should work please do. Being a node type it could be a standalone or nested in a category. The thread view will be collapsed until the title is clicked and it will expand to allow comments. Sort of like this image.
![]()
The thread view.
