The below smiley was meant to be inserted on this line, but it jumped to the end of the message.

Type a line of text. Place the cursor at the beginning of the line of text and then open the smiley menu (or the gif menu), then select a smiley. The cursor jumps to the end of the line of text then the smiley is inserted (the cursor jumps to the end even if you just close the menu without selecting a smiley).
