I'm working on a wiki-like part of my website. Unfortunately, I do not have many followers to say the least (I'm the sole member of my forums). As a result, I do not have much inlets for feedback. As a way to organize articles on my "wiki," I've created 16 topic categories:

wiki_topics_example.webp

Descriptions of each topic (with some real world examples):
  • Creatures: Non-humanoid characters (e.g. Harambe)
  • Cultures: Cultural groups (e.g. Canadians)
  • Diseases: Self-explanatory (e.g. COVID-19)
  • Events: Self-explanatory (e.g. World War II)
  • Factions: Political groups and movements (e.g. Communist Party of China)
  • Families: Self-explanatory (e.g. House of Windsor)
  • Groups: Non-political and non-cultural groups (e.g. Xenforo Ltd.)
  • Ideas: Philosophies, ideologies, religions, etc. (e.g. Communism)
  • Life: Biological taxonomy (e.g. Homo sapiens)
  • Locations: Self-explanatory (e.g. Earth)
  • Media: In-universe books, films, music, etc. (e.g. The Lord of the Rings)
  • People: Humanoid characters (e.g. Queen Elizabeth II)
  • Physics: Elements of time, matter, and energy (e.g. tornado)
  • Societies: Political geographical units (e.g. United States)
  • Technology: Self-explanatory (e.g. Xenforo)
  • Tribes: Groups of families (e.g. Yakama)
If you had to choose which topics (max of 3) most interest you, what would they be? Keep in mind, I ask this only to determine which topics should be listed first (from left–right, top–bottom).

If you haven't got many followers my advice is stop trying please everyone. Stop trying to diversify.

Better to do 1 thing well than do 100 things poorly. You end up spread too thin. Pick a topic and focus on building for that.

Just my 2 cents

I appreciate the feedback and I agree. I do apologize for the misunderstanding though. I'm not here for self-promotion, so I didn't mention this in the OP as I didn't really see it as relevant. I am using those topics (or categories) to organize articles I am writing that include summary information from my self-published stories. I'm just an amateur fiction writer. I'm not trying to create a giant encyclopedia like Wikipedia, or anything remotely close to that!
