Cookie policy phrase out of date re: advanced cookie consent

Unless I'm mistaken (won't be the first or last time) the cookie phrase does not take the advanced cookie consent into account.

This is from the ACP options description of advanced cookie consent

When advanced is selected, all visitors will see a panel providing the ability to give or withdraw consent to cookies on a group-by-group basis.

This is what the cookie policy says:

Removing/disabling cookies

Managing your cookies and cookie preferences must be done from within your browser's options/preferences. Here is a list of guides on how to do this for popular browser software:

So with that advanced option selected there needs to be a dedicated cookie phrase describing both ways

I noticed this on xenforo.com where the advanced content is in place but the old phrase still shows in the cookie policy.

Anyway I'm not sure it's correct. Is it correct that if I have no sites embedded (turned off embeds in BBCodes) except for youtube, and no cookie privacy set up from youtube, no ads and no google analytics - that I can use the simple cookie banner?

Anyway it seems I do need a full cookie banner. Various sites have analysed my site and said I have 3 tracking cookies and 4 marketing cookies and no necessary cookies. Seems I do have google analytics after all (even though I thought I didn't). Not sure why the xf cookies are seen as "marketing" cookies". Another check just classed them as "other". As opposed to necessary or optional.

However I don't like the Advanced cookie banner with just accept or reject on - it invites people to reject cookies! It would be better if it said "Accept" or "Customise" or "Reject non essential cookies"

Incidentally if someone did choose to reject cookies (I'd be inclined to do that if someone made it an option without further explanation) would their account on the site actually work?

There are third party cookie banners available - is anyone using one? Or is there an addon on here? I'll ask about that separately.

Apologies, that was a bit off topic. Is that phrasing still contradictory? I think it's still the same.

I am also wondering about this bit under "Optional cookies"

"We deliver enhanced functionality for your browsing experience by setting these cookies. If you reject them, enhanced functionality will be unavailable."

The first one is relating to emojis

The second one says "This cookie is used to track when a user has arrived on the site from a search engine."

Is that second one really "enhanced functionality" for a browsing experience? It sounds more of a benefit for site analytics than a user. Has anyone changed the wording?
