XF 2.3 Can't quote anything after 2.3.7 upgrade

Since updating, I am unable to quote or use smiles in my replies. Only happens in Chrome.

I updated my dev environment and one of my tests was quoting. It worked. Forget if I tried a smiley. I use Firefox on Android and Linux Mint.

We’ll need much more information. What does happen, is an error displayed, anything logged in the browser console, anything in the server error log, does it happen on a default style with all add-ons disabled.

You will see from this forum here that quoting works fine.

It's only happening in Chrome, not throwing any errors, but that top bar with smiles, GIF, Quote, link etc is nonresponsive, the Chrome version is 138.0.7204.158 (Official Build) (64-bit), all other browsers seem to be fine using the same style

Is it possible you've accidentally entered plain-text mode? If so, you can click the [ ] icon at the top right of the editor to return to rich text mode.

Well?! What was the issue? I may have this problem too, although it was happening before the last update. Insert a smilie, in any post it would error out.

I was in plain text mode somehow, as was mentioned above....that and I had a member who had an extension that was causing issues in Chrome.
